 Policy & Procedures 

Attendance

Whether classes are attended or missed, full payment is required for all classes. Missed classes will not be rescheduled due to timetable restrictions, but teachers will try to accommodate where possible. We cannot guarantee the rescheduling of missed lessons. Students who cannot attend a lesson should notify the school as early as possible out of courtesy to the teacher. If a teacher is unable to attend, the school will notify students in advance if possible or provide a qualified substitute teacher. If neither option is feasible, a make-up lesson will be arranged, or a refund will be issued.

Cancellations

Newpark Academy of Music reserves the right to cancel any individual or group lesson because of insufficient enrolment. In such an event all fees will be refunded.

Discontinuance

Newpark Academy of Music reserves the right to withdraw the enrolment of any student who misses three consecutive lessons without notification, who has a pattern of absence or who is constantly late. All students or parents on behalf of students must give 2 weeks notice in writing if they wish to discontinue with lessons. All fees for the term must be paid in full regardless of the student finishing the term.

Drop off and Collection of Students

Please ensure your child is dropped off and collected in a reasonable time frame before the lesson starts and after the lesson is concluded.No children should be left waiting for extended periods either side of lessons in any area of the premises.All children should wait and be collected in reception to ensure health and safety of all students in the school. Newpark Academy of Music is not responsible for any student outside of the assigned lesson time or off the premises.

Enrolment

All enrolment are done through online register form

Payment

We strongly advise student who are grade 4 and above should enrol the 60 mins one-to-one lessons.
All fees are determined by Newpark Academy of Music and must be paid prior to the beginning of your class through EasyPayment Plus.
Full payment option are open for all lessons/classes and ensembles.
Instalment plans (3 months instalment or 6 months instalment, all instalment plan are pay over 3 or 6 consecutive month) are open for one to one individual lessons / Theory classes / Jazz Improvisation Ensemble / Gateway to Instrument.
Term 1 and Term 2 payment options (16 lessons per term) are open for Newpark Nippers / Junior Choir / Newpark Concert Orchestra / Chamber Group / Junior String / Recorder Ensemble / Gateway to Music
By enrolling in Newpark Academy of Music and/or making any payments in respect of fees you are agreeing to Policies and Procedures 23-24 outlined in this document.

Red Weather Alerts

In the event of a red weather alert parents and students will be notified of Newpark Academy of Music being closed by 9am that day via text message or email.
All lessons will be made up during the next available date as arranged by the individual teachers.
No refunds will be given on lessons missed if you can’t make your make up lesson.

Refund

No refunds are given except in circumstances determined by Newpark Academy of Music 

Trial Lessons

A single trial lesson can be organised for prospective students to give the student & parent an introduction to the instrument, teacher and the structure of the lessons and to answer any questions they might have.Parent and student must book the trial lesson through enquiries@newparkmusic.ie or with telephone +353 012883740 before you pay the trial lesson fee on EasyPayment Plus. If after the trail lesson you wish to avail of the available slot please discuss fees & enrolment at reception or contact us through email / phone.

In accordance with Child First Act 2015, the school conducts an annual review of its Child Safe guarding Statement and the associated Risk Assessment. This document is available below.
Observation or suggestions for improvement from students or parents/guardians in relation to the school’s safeguarding arrangements are welcome and should be communicated to the Director for consideration by the Board of Directors.
