Available in graded classes or as an individual tailored study. The requirement of the RIAM, A.B and other exam boards are covered in detail in a relaxed and friendly environment where student learn a course which will soon lead them to a much greater understand the works the are learning in the instrumental classes. Students also learn how to compose for themselves. They will listen to music and explore musical history and instruments in a project base manner. Ultimately it is possible to continue on to study orchestration and arranging.
Previous student have had their works performed in the National Concert Hall. While many of our student have gone on the study music in university, we are very proud to say others have been accepted for further study of the subject in elite music conservatoires including, Julliard, & Manes College in New York, and London, Paris, Munich and Brussels.
Musicianship is very strongly recommended for all students. It will help provide your child a lifelong love of and interest in music and is also of great benefit to students going on to take music in secondary school and may be the help they need in the future for the few extra point the need!
Please be aware that some examining board require students taking instrumental exams above grade five to have passed a theory grade five exam.
