County Wexford school of music and Newpark Music Centre to launch a joint initiative for Jazz musicians in the south east The County Wexford School of Music (CWSM) in partnership with the Jazz and Contemporary Music Department and the Newpark Music Centre (Blackrock, Co. Dublin) are delighted to announce a new opportunity for musicians in the South East. This new initiative titled the Professional Musicianship Tracker Course to Newpark Music Centre will prepare students for direct entry into either of the two full time courses which are taught at this primary centre for jazz education in Ireland. This part-time course will provide class, ensemble and instrument tuition and will be taught weekly at the County Wexford School of Music. The school which was established in 1980, is located on Summerhill in Wexford Town. Enrolments are now being accepted for classes which will commence in January 2013. Speaking on the launch of this exciting new initiative, Director of Jazz at the Newpark Music Centre, Ronan Guilfoyle (MA) said about this new initiative, Newpark is delighted to be collaborating with CWSM on this exciting new programme. Wexford is of course a region famous for music in Ireland, and we've had many wonderful students from Wexford in our programme in the past. With this new initiative we look forward to developing our ties with CWSM, and through them with the many talented musicians in the whole Wexford region.'
